11/02/2005 - Welcome Emma
Emma, Marie, our parents, and I were part of a baby dedication service at church today. It was a lovely service, where Reverend Kathleen anointed Emma with the four elements. She put a little dirt in her shoe for Earth, some Water on her face and hands, she lit a candle for Fire, and rang a bell for Air. She then took Emma and dedicated her with her name, and asked that her parents and grandparents promise to help her to be the person she wants to be. It was very beautiful and Emma was great throughout. I will put up some pictures today.
